ASP provides opportunities and resources for spaceflight professionals and professionals-in-training.

To support advancement in crewed flight operations, ASP's team and membership continue to focus in the following areas.

  • Collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency for Flights and Fieldwork for the Advancement of Science and Technology (FAST), which provides access to high quality microgravity for testing member engineering payloads

  • Successful publication of Spaceflight-Associated Vascular Remodeling and Gene Expression in Mouse Calvaria in Frontiers in Physiology: Environmental, Aviation and Space Physiology, a paper that relies on microgravity life science data from multiple spaceflights for insights into histological and genetic effects of long-duration spaceflight

  • Authorship of a case report on the application of lower body negative pressure (LBNP) to osteoporosis outcomes, with associated applications for the microgravity environment

  • New partnerships with institutional departments for funding of ASP's project portfolio, in parallel with talks on direct sponsorships by public and private providers
